WINSTA® IDC Series 772 connectors for
use with 2.5mm2 or 4mm2
flat cables. The 772 Series allows the user to make pluggable tap-offs
at any point along the length of flat cable. The tap-off connectors are
easily connected by placing the cable in the base tray of the connector
body and sliding the tap-off connector into place. The connection is then
made by simply twisting the knob of each pole by 120O, which connects
the contact to the cable by displacing the insulation on the flat cable.
Also available as part of the new range are Series 893 WINSTA® IDC
EIB tap-off modules which allow the connection of control signals in parallel
to the power distribution. This process, which is becoming increasingly
attractive to the residential market, affords a much simpler installation
of a single flat cable for power and control compared to separate cables.
